My son, Easton Michael Young, is turning 10 (days) old today. For me, the past week and a half has been a dream come true. I can't describe how fulfilling it is to be able to be at my house with my wife and kids, simply spending time with them. Before my son was born, my wife and I were able to give all of our love to our daughter, Brianna. Going into the birth of our second child, I was interested to see how the love I am capable of giving can be shared amongst two children. How can I possibly give more love to another individual? All I can say is that God has shown me how He not only has infinite love for us, but that He is able to give us infinite love to pass along to others. The more we ask of God, the more love He gives to us. He gives it freely. When we ask for it, God will increase our capacity to cherish, respect, and love other people.
I know we don't always have the time in each and every day to be all things to all people. Our time is limited, and that is why we are so often required to prioritize and put a value on where we want to invest our energy. But, when it comes to love, we can rely on God to supply an infinite amount of that to us. We can indeed love all of our children, and all people, for that matter. So, let's not limit what God can do through us when we love one another as ourselves. He doesn'te require anything of us that we can't do, but we can learn to value people and rely on God to show respect to others through our actions.
