Time Well Spent
I know I missed last week's "daily run" as I like to call it and didn't post a newsletter. Long story short, I was busy with things around my house and with my family that I just couldn't justify stepping away from. I share that because I want to point out that I strongly believe that there are times when our ministry at home simply becomes more important than other ministries we may have. For me, that happens to be Running With Wings. With the busy lives that are required of us to make it in this society, we need to be careful to not put those who are so close to us on the back-burner for things that are on our work agenda, ministry or not. I understand there will be times where we might have to stay late at the office, and there may be those days when we need some time to relax with something we personally enjoy doing, but we need to be careful that this doesn't become a regretful habit. I know for a fact that 20,30, 40, or however many years from now, I will not regret spending too much time with people in my life, but I might regret the alternative. I don't want any of us to face that day. Nothing in life is worth that risk. Nothing.
