Contentment

"A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him." -David Brinkley

I think this quote by David Brinkley is very appropriate for this particular time in our country. When so much of life is out of our control, our happiness depends on how we choose to deal with anything that enters into our lives, good or bad. I can't think of a better time than now to strive for contentment in any situation. I know this is a tall order, something that the apostle Paul struggled with for many years, but it's a necessity in fully receiving the peace God offers us. Outside of God, we can have complete peace, because outside of God, there is not complete contentment. Without God, there is a groaning within a man's soul to find his Creator.

When we are know our Creator, we have our deepest longing satisfied. With that, comes contentment and peace at every stage of life.
