My entire life, I have always been the type of person that tries to maintain control of things that are going on in my life. Whether it has been in school, athletics, or early in my career, I would always want a hand in the outcome of things that would effect me. Things have changed.
I finallly reached a point in my life, where so many things are going on around me, that it's humanly impossible for me to have a hand in everything. I do know that God will only give us what we can handle. The problem is that our percepetion of what is our's is distorted. Since becoming a father, a husband, and digging deeper into my careerI have realized that there a so many things in life that we must give to God, or life will run us into the ground. Our troubles are not our's if they are cast upon the Lord.
You see, a few years back, I could have a hand in everything, becuase life wasn't as busy, and really nobody was relying on me other than myself. I want to challenge us this week to consider all of life's challenges, and our busy schedules as pure joy, because that is when we are more able to give our lives up to God. This is how peace is acheived in life.
