Happy new year! So, a new decade laced with promise and hope, right? I'm sure we're all probably thinking and hoping here in early January that 2010 will be marked by an economic rebound. I think we all know that at some point the economy will turn. But, what if that doesn't take place in this calendar year. What if there are more lessons to be learned regarding how we spend/save our money. Are you prepared to deal with that? I'm not talking just monetarily. Are you prepared in your relationship with God to have peace about whatever might take place in this decade. I know it's easier said than done, but there's something to be said about being at a place in your relationship with God that gives you peace that literally passes all understanding.
Do you have confidence that whatever comes your way this decade, your faith won't waiver? If not, it's time to begin the journey to get to that point. Not that the journey will ever end, or that we'll get to a place of spiritual serenity, but for many, the journey never starts. Let's start today and use the new year to give us an excuse and an inspiration to right further our relationship with Jesus, others around us, and ourselves.
