The New Website

"Back from the dead of winter
Back from the dead and all our leaves are dry
You're so beautiful tonight
Back from the dead we went through
Back from the dead and both our tongues are tied
You look beautiful tonight
But every seed dies before it grows."

These are the lyrics of a song written by Jon Foreman, lead singer/songwriter of my favorite bad, Switchfoot. These lyrics off of their brand new album speak so much truth. I can personally attest to the fact that there have been so many times where my own soul felt like it was in the dead of winter, like it was dead and all dried out. And the hard truth is that there will be many more days where I'll be back at this same point (or at least it will feel like that). But I always have comfort in knowing that my Lord and Savior uses all things for the good of those who love Him. That's what brings water and life back to my soul. That's what brings the peace that passes all understanding. That will never change.

I want this new website, Running With Wings," to be an encouragement to anyone who finds their own soul all dried out. And I also want this site to be used for those who are at a point in life where a wonderful harvest is taking place. Regardless of where we are at in life, we need to water our souls. If you are alone and need the peace that only Jesus offers, I want this site to be an avenue to grow closer to God, and for each of us to get that peace from Him in life. And when things are on the up and up, I want this ministry to encourage you to hold on tight to the Lord, because He is the one from whom all blessings flow.

If there is every anything that you would like to comment on, challenge, or discuss, please feel free to e-mail me at chad@runningwithwings.org.

I don't claim to know everything. In fact, I don't claim to know much. But, I do know that God is good, and He is the Lord of life. From Him and about Him, I want to know more.
