Lost. I think that one word can describes the life path of so many people as we weather this current economic situation, among the other brokenness in this world. Confused. I believe that single word articulates those who are going through a time in their life where nothing seems to be going right--whatever the situation may be.
But, the good news is this: We serve a God who is in the business of restoring the worn down, the broken-hearted, and the beat up. It's so comforting to know that regardless of our situation in life, we have endless hope because Jesus Christ has endless grace and love.
And even when life is going too good, it's important to never use anything that "we" have created to become our crutch or our hope, because no matter what, God is the only thing and the only person that will never let us down at the end of the day. We can always count on God's will to bring us the most blessings, the most contentment, the most hope, and complete restoration.
Outside of Christ, we are forever lost. But, within His will, we have infinite comfort.
